About the Candidate

Built for this
moment.

"As we climb, we have a responsibility to lift those coming behind us."

Tommy Atkins is a results-driven professional with more than a decade of experience driving over $100 million in revenue growth and brand innovation. His career has spanned Condé Nast, Business Insider, Hearst Magazines, and Vogue — building complex partnerships, managing multimillion-dollar budgets, and executing high-impact campaigns recognized by The Clio Awards, Ad Age, CFDA, and Digiday.

Born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan and a proud graduate of Howard University, Tommy brings the perspective of someone who has navigated systems, built pipelines of access, and never lost sight of where he came from.

At the core of his work — and his candidacy — is the belief that the strongest partnerships are built on trust, insights, and creativity. That belief extends directly to how he envisions leading Gamma Iota Lambda: a chapter defined by shared ownership, elevated execution, and a brotherhood that uplifts every member.

Brotherhood & Outcomes

A chapter that is
structured, engaged,

  • 03 Leadership is shared. Clear succession planning and mentorship pathways create a deep bench at every level.
  • 04 Community is central. From MLK Day of Service to the Juneteenth Gala, GIL shows up for Brooklyn.
  • 05 Brotherhood is actively strengthened. Not assumed — built through engagement, accountability, and culture.
